bunch of my co-workers and i went to the vh1 video music awards last thursday. got to see a bunch of cool 'special people' (music stars), hear some great live music, and scream "GO PEARL JAM" every time creed won an award. u2 opened the show, no doubt, metallica, bon jovi, christina aguilera and red hot chili peppers also performed. great nite. cool to be with my friends, and cool to hear a bunch of good music... didn't know that bon jovi was the biggest thing going these days, however... (their latest won 'video of the year') wasn't anyone else around back in 1986-1989 when they came onto the music scene and left? sheesh.. at least he cut that hair...

other than that, just cruising along. been rock climbing a bit lately, both in the gym and in malibu (hence the picture over there on the left). even started lead climbing (taking the rope up with me and clipping in as i go, instead of the rope always being there, hanging from the top) last saturday. a little more intense, because if you fall, depending on where you last clipped in, it's at least a good 7-12 foot drop before the rope catches. that makes things a little more interesting...

oh, and DON'T go see 'the 6th day.' completely horrible movie. i could not _believe_ how bad it was. it made me question if movies with arnold were ever worth watching. bleah.
