it's amazing to me that we're already nearing august. didn't we just have a new year or something? what's with this older-i-get-the-faster-time-goes deal? was that in my contract somewhere?

leaving for the high school houseboat trip this saturday. more than excited. a nice deluge away from the 2001 toyota.com refresh project (not that it's maddening or anything) and get into a houseboat for a week. surrounded by 14 other houseboats and 250 highschoolers. yeah, it's sort of a vacation. what's _your_ definition of a vacation, anyway?

attempting to begin planning for my next maui trip. over christmas again. might stay a little longer in oahu. whatever. it's all still so far away a this point. but it's out there somewhere.

that's about it over here. life is grand. over-time pay rules. living by the ocean can't be beat. i'm being taken care of.

back from The Real Live Midwestern 4th Of July Experience, 2000.

went to chicago for the weekend. friday to yesterday. just enough time to hang out with the relatives, see fireworks (which, just fyi, they do on the 3rd of july), go to the monolith called woodfield mall, and go into the city itself.

great time. a welcome escape from l.a.

glad to be back, no less. but it's nice to see that some people out there really do have some sort of value for average existance.
