this is the best response i've heard yet in regard to today's big news:

Wow! another way to kill children. Lets all celebrate. "Its about time!"
I say we allow abortions only if the mother gives birth, lives with her baby for a month then we give her a gun and say kill it. If she chooses to, then she made her decision. At least this way they can see what they are really doing, instead of taking some f****ing pill like an asprin.

welcome to the new.
anyways, it's been quite the interesting time lately. working pretty dang hard at work for the last few months (overtime pay lends a sweet, juicy flavor to the common every-man job) getting the new toyota 2001 site ready. and that's pretty much all i can really say about work. it's there. i've been there a whole crapload of time lately. i'm not there now. such is life.
trying to prepare for the big ride this weekend. bunch of my co-workers and i are heading down to mexico for the semi-annual 50 mile bike ride from rosarito to ensenada. yeah, 50 miles. longest i've gone is 27, and that was on a new, very much uncomfortable brand-new seat. (all the stores call them 'saddles,' but i have always called them, and will continue to call them, "seats". bikes have seats. horses have saddles. my bike is not a horse. horses smell.) i returned the seat. the new one is much nicer, thank you.
(hi mom.)
besides that, i'm teasing the idea of training for upcoming marathon. we'll have to see. after starting to race downhill mountain biking this year, i discovered that i enjoyed being within that 'competitive' crowd. even though i didn't do well, just to be a part of it is pretty stinkin' cool. i'm looking into triathalons, adventure races and cross-country cycling races as well.
off to bed i go. visions of my seemingly-becoming-an-annual-event trip to maui this christmas in tow....

who's not good at updating?
welcome to september...
went to the forest home college briefing this weekend, and, seemingly as always, had an incredible time. still reeling. it will take a while to sift thru and sort all that conspired.
i did get a chance to get up the mountain and do a little downhill mountain biking. hitting 30 on a curvy, loose fire road is one the coolest things ever.
i'd say that i'll write more later, but i probably won't. and guess what? the site's probably going to change, yet again. whee...
