how is it we so easily forget how cool things are?

i've been back in the states for over 4 months now... no, 5... and only today was my first day rock climbing since i've returned. before i left, i was way into it. in fact, maybe a month before i took off, i did my first multi-pitch traditional climb. 700 feet. one of the best days of my life. (joe and tim, you rule!) but it took a friend of mine asking me last week if i've been climbing to make me even think about it... (thanks, amy...) anyways, it was a good day out at stoney point. it's been a while, and my ability has regressed somewhat, but none of that matters once you finally get yourself back on the rock.

whatever... maybe i'm rambling, but it was a curious thing. as i was driving home, i was trying to figure out how i managed to un-remember how much i love rock climbing. i haven't been surfing since i've returned either... maybe this stuff just happens to me...
