i'm at a local coffee shop here that touts free wireless internet access. though it's a spotty connection at best, it does work, and it is free. which is more to say than any place back in the states. good enough for me.
so is it wierd that when i'm shopping at my local supermarket, most of the milk for sale isn't refrigerated? and it's in little plastic bags? what about the stacks and stacks of eggs, all out in the open, and also not kep cold?. i must admit i've since bought both, consumed both, and lived to tell about it... those aren't the most daring food purchases i can make at the store, though. one of the supermarkets i frequent has, among other things, a full-size pig carcas you can buy, right off the meat hook. there's this freezer section you actually have to walk inside of. they even have a little rack of branded full-length winter coats right outside the entrance that you can wear so you don't get too chilly as you mill around about the dead stuff.
yeah, i'm talking about the weird food again, but it's a kick. and it's home.
i love it out here.
happy thanksgiving.
