miranda and i spent most of this week in camden; miranda's best friend lives up there and we had a speaking engagement. thanks to kim and mason (and wilson and wesley) for your great hospitality, it was much appreciated!

driving around, i was taken by all the historical signs posted everywhere... camden county itself goes back to 1777, which sounds impressive until you drive to edenton city, which is in chowan county, circa 1668. (a mere sixty-one years after jamestown.)

suddenly, being born in "1975" makes it sound like i'm barely out of the gate...
