transition...

window seat, RDU to LAX

thought i'd change things up a bit here, if only to go along with our current life stage of 'transition.'

we're moving overseas in less than two months; just yesterday we bought our plane tickets (one-way, 4 flights, touching 4 different countries with over 20 hours of flight time= dark, dark circles under the eyes and the temporary loss of not just a few IQ points...) and today we found out that we'll have an apartment ready for us when we arrive in central asia. that rules.

i'm excited. and somewhat alarmed. though there's a huge part of me that can't wait to get overseas, after being in the states nearly a year, i've become used to things. family and friends being around. walking around the house barefoot. being able to use (and drink!) tap water. driving.

going to see this (the first movie in a LONG time i can actually recommend, at least to guys...).

miranda and i feel so blessed to have been able to see so many friends and spend so much time with our families. and we're excited about what it's going to be like out there... it's just a weird tension. i'm finding it hard to even write about.

anywho, we're leaving soon. which is cool. we just hope to finish well out here before we do.
